Who was Thomas Jefferson?

Who was Thomas Jefferson?

This is amazing. There are two parts. Be sure to read Part 2.
Thomas Jefferson was a very remarkable man who started learning very early in life and never stopped.

At 5, began studying under his cousin’s tutor.

At 9, studied Latin, Greek and French.

At 14, studied classical literature and additional languages.

At 16, entered the College of William and Mary. Also could write in Greek with one hand while writing the same in Latin with the other.

At 19, studied Law for 5 years starting under George Wythe.

At 23, started his own law practice.

At 25, was elected to the Virginia House of Burgesses.

At 31, wrote the widely circulated “Summary View of the Rights of British America? And retired from his law practice.

At 32, was a Delegate to the Second Continental Congress.

At 33, wrote the Declaration of Independence.

At 33, took three years to revise Virginia’s legal code and wrote a Public Education bill and a statute for Religious Freedom.

At 36, was elected the second Governor of Virginia succeeding Patrick Henry.

At 40, served in Congress for two years.

At 41, was the American minister to France and negotiated commercial treaties with European nations along with Ben Franklin and John Adams.

At 46, served as the first Secretary of State under George Washington.

At 53, served as Vice President and was elected president of the American Philosophical Society.

At 55, drafted the Kentucky Resolutions and became the active head of Republican Party.

At 57, was elected the third president of the United States.

At 60, obtained the Louisiana Purchase doubling the nation’s size.

At 61, was elected to a second term as President.

At 65, retired to Monticello.

At 80, helped President Monroe shape the Monroe Doctrine.

At 81, almost single-handedly created the University of Virginia and served as its first president.

At 83, died on the 50th anniversary of the Signing of the Declaration of Independence along with John Adams.

Thomas Jefferson knew because he himself studied the previous failed attempts at government. He understood actual history, the nature of God, his laws and the nature of man. That happens to be way more than what most understand today. Jefferson really knew his stuff. A voice from the past to lead us in the future:

John F. Kennedy held a dinner in the White House for a group of the brightest minds in the nation at that time. He made this statement: “This is perhaps the assembly of the most intelligence ever to gather at one time in the White House with the exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone.”
Part 2:

“When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe.”
— Thomas Jefferson

“The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.”
— Thomas Jefferson

“It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.”
— Thomas Jefferson

“I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.”
— Thomas Jefferson

“My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.”
— Thomas Jefferson

“No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.”
— Thomas Jefferson

“The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”
— Thomas Jefferson

“The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”
— Thomas Jefferson

“To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.”
— Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:

“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.

If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property – until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.”

I wish we could get this out to everyone!

I’m doing my part. Please do yours.

The effect entitlements have on our country.

Subject: RE: A Ford Dealer’s Report and the Obama-created entitlement mentality
Date: October 16, 2013

We of our generation remember when the labels of “Socialist” and “Communist” attached to any would-be politician spelled doom at the ballot box for the so-labeled candidate. That all began to change in 2008 when Obama came on the scene and became the equivalent of the new super popular rock star who gathered millions of groupies, fans who would have given their right arm for a lock of his hair. Though he not only lacked even the rudimentary resume of anyone who coveted the office of President, he charmingly articulated goals which literally revealed to his groupies… i. e. the electorate… goals and intentions which informed his groupies and also we who weren’t members of his cult… yes, CULT… that he was most definitely a Socialist if not an actual living and breathing Communist. His legal concealment of anything that would really acquaint us with him, including but not limited to his application for a Passport, his college transcripts, the position papers and other writings he wrote as top dog of the Harvard Law Review and anything else that might have given voters information normally thought as indispensable, were never forthcoming and never demanded by America’s normal watchdog, namely the media, or anyone else. He promised change and that promise he has fulfilled in spades. He has taken the best, strongest and most charitable nation on the planet… a nation which got that way via the time honored free enterprise system… a nation whose unfortunates on charity once felt deep shame and surreptitiously tip-toed to the place where they got their handouts… to a nation where even zillions of the fortunate have that nation-destructive entitlement-deserving attitude which will destroy the America we grew up in and dearly love. Once the Obama-created entitlement momentum began, we of our generation feel… and sadly seem to be… powerless to change it or even slow it down. Gentlemen, we and our nation are in a real fix and it’s only going to get worse. You know it, I know it and all of us who aren’t members of the Obama cult and/or are like the woman pricing the Ford Focus, know it.
A Ford Dealer’s Report
A Ford Dealer’s Report – From Tom Selkis’ (Latham Ford) Facebook – True story yesterday at the dealership.
“I’ll try to make this as short and to the point as I can.
One of my salesmen here had a woman in his office yesterday wanting to lease a brand new Focus.
As he was reviewing her credit application with her he noticed she was on social security disability.
He said to her you don’t look like you’re disabled and unable to work.
She said well I’m really not. I could work if I wanted to, but I make more now than I did when I was working and got hurt (non-disabling injury).
She said the gov’t sends her $1500.00 a month in 1 check. And she gets $700.00 a month on an EBT card (food stamps), and $800.00 a month for rent.
Oh yeah, and 250 minutes free on her phone.
That is just south of $3500.00 a month.
When she was working, she was taking home about $330.00 per week.
Do the math and then ask yourself why the hell should she go back to work.
If you multiply that by millions of people, you start to realize the scope of the problem we face as a country.
Once the socialists have 51% of the population in that same scenario, we are finished.
The question is when do we cross that threshold if we haven’t already, and there are not enough people working to pay enough taxes to support the non-working people? Riots?? Be prepared to protect your homes.
She didn’t lease the Focus here because the dealer down the road beat our deal by $10.00/month.
Glad to know she is so frugal with her hard earned money.”
How passing info on to others in America is having an effect…

At mikeroweWorks, they’re flipping the traditional notion of scholarships on its head by aiding students who demonstrate a solid work ethic, not financial need or academic or athletic merit.

“Why don’t we reward kids who are willing to learn a new trade, a useful skill, and…prove that they’re willing to get up early, stay late, and volunteer for every crappy task there is?” he said. “Let’s reward the thing we want to encourage.”

1% own 40% of the wealth in America. Disgusting proof that everything is rigged against the majority.

Click below to see a short video explaining the rapidly worsening financial condition of most Americans. I heard a statistic that there are about seven billion people on the planet, but only 500 million jobs. People have told me that factories now are almost completely staffed with robots. Are we at the end of the American Dream and upward mobility for our children and grandchildren?

Two growth industries in the USA: food stamps and crime.

Click the following link to see how drastically food stamp use has increased and how the government is advertising and spending millions of tax dollars to get people signed up for welfare. The question is why? Why is the government actively working to find people to add to the welfare rolls? Why has the government relaxed the criteria to get food stamps and other types of welfare? Why would they do this when the country is in a financial crisis and government debts are already more than can be repaid? Are they trying to make people dependent upon government handouts? Are they trying to destroy the motivation of the people? That motivation is what made this country great and created the biggest middle class in the world, which is now shrinking dramatically.
